Additional Information

  • Description
  • Crossroads wines are sourced from New Zealand’s premier winegrowing regions, Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay; the former known internationally for exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, the latter for its premium reds. NORTH ISLAND HAWKE’S BAY Located 300 km North of Marlborough and 360 km South of Auckland, Hawke’s Bay is New Zealand’s second largest wine region with vineyards covering approximately 4,900 hectares. Distinctively different soil types across the region, from fertile silty loams to free draining shingle, produce a considerable range of wine styles, although it is renowned for producing premium red wine such as Merlot and Syrah. SOUTH ISLAND MARLBOROUGH Located at the north-eastern tip of New Zealand’s South Island, Marlborough is a cool, maritime climate with low rainfall and high sunshine hours. The soils are ancient, glacial and free-draining, with extensive braided river systems that have deposited stony sandy loam over deep, stony gravels. The region is known internationally for its exceptional Sauvignon Blanc.
