Tasting Note:
Château Le Crock 2016 is a wine from the Saint Estephe appellation produced from a blend of four grape varieties, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in 30% new oak.

On the nose, the 2016 vintage of Château Le Crock exhibits an intense bouquet of black fruits, interspersed with woody notes.
Moderately full-bodied, the mouthfeel of the Le Crock 2016 has relatively firm, granular tannins that are directly reminiscent of the 2010 vintage.

Awards / Rating:
94 points Wine Enthusiast
Outer quote mark Under the same management as Château Léoville-Poyferré in Saint-Julien, this estate belongs to the Cuvelier family. With its structured Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is made to age. Big tannins and concentrated fruits are full and dense. *Cellar Sellection* (RV) Inner quote mark (5/2019)

93 points James Suckling
Outer quote mark The purity of the cabernet sauvignon is very evident here with currant and floral character. Full-bodied, firm and very polished with lovely, strong tannins. Muscular and polished. Give it three or four years to come together. Inner quote mark (2/2019)

92 points Wine Spectator
Outer quote mark Well-built, featuring dark plum and blackberry coulis flavors that impart a dark yet racy feel, while light charcoal, chalk and wet pebble notes keep the finish grounded in terroir. An echo of tobacco rings throughout. (JM, Web-2019) Inner quote mark
